Awana
Our Awana program is a way of providing children with Christ-centered activities, where they will have fun and also learn to be better Christians.
From September to May, Awana. meets every Wednesday evening from 6:45 pm – 8:15 pm. We invite you to bring your 3-17 year old for this exciting, enriching ministry.
What is AWANA?
Awana is a ministry program to meet the spiritual needs of children, teens, and adults, at Millheim, our focused scheduled program is centered around 3-year-olds to junior high age children.
Awana, which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, is taken from II Timothy 2:15, where the Apostle Paul says “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” This indeed is what the Awana program is all about with its goals being to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
AWANA age groups
Cubbies is the club for boys and girls ages three and four. Cubbies is unique because it supports and maintains parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing by directly involving them in the teaching and learning process. Cubbies uses the fundamental Awana elements of games and activities, Bible memorization, handbooks, and awards.
Sparks is the club for boys and girls in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade.
Truth and Training (T&T) is the club for boys and girls in third through six grades.
JV is the club for boys and girls in junior high/middle school.
